Religion & Spirituality

Today on the Intuitive Eating for Christian Women podcast our co-host Char-Lee Cassel shares her God story, her food story and how she learned to cope with her emotions with God’s grace and kindness. In this episode we dig into: Her personal history of trauma and how that influenced her relationship with food and body. The unhealthy ways we find our identity in other things such as status, appearance or relationships. The deeper motivations behind dieting such as wanting to be wanted or seeking security. What it’s like to be a “success” on the outside but a mess on the inside. How an unexpected diagnosis shattered her identity as the “fit girl”. Learning intuitive eating and diet culture in health education systems. Surrendering to God the areas we previously held back from Him. Realizing our bodies are here for something greater than the way it looks and other gifts of pregnancy. Recognizing intuitive eating doesn't have to look a certain way and will look different in different seasons. Embracing the unconditional love of God and no longer wanting the world’s conditional love.
