The District 96 Final from Lakers stood up to the hype with 13 lead changes and 7 ties over the course of 32 minutes. Neither Harbor Beach or Bad Axe would lead by more than six points. A single point separated the Hatchets and Pirates entering the fourth quarter, but Bad Axe's Aaron Sowles proved to be too much to handle, ending the district final with 34 points. Bad Axe now advances to the Region 24 Semi-Final against the Reese Rockets, who accounts for their only two losses in the 2021 season.
