Tomahawk Nation: for Florida State Seminoles fans

Miscellaneous

It was a frustrating 1-point loss to Clemson, and the game likely ended FSU's hopes for a national 1-seed for the NCAA Tournament. But the 'Noles still control their own destiny in the ACCT as a few hours after FSU losing in Littlejohn, Duke went to Virginia and lost. Now FSU and Louisville are atop the ACC, with Duke and Virginia one game back. The defense was a mess vs. Clemson. Florida State did a decent top taking away the 3-ball, but while they were doing that they were losing one-on-one battles at the rim all game. Clemson ended up making 58% of their 2s, including the game winner with a second left. The refs were also horrible on both ends, but this is college basketball and that's what NCAA thinks we deserve. After Clemson, we talked about Virginia's resurgence. This was a preseason top-10 team, and now they're finally playing solid basketball. In fact, they have a chance to be the 1-seed in the ACCT. Then it's on to Notre Dame. The Irish present many of the same challenges as Clemson. Hopefully it will be a different result. We wrap with a quick rooting guide on games happening between now and Wednesday.
