Today’s guest is Liam Martin, the co-founder of Time Doctor and an advocate of remote work. Since many of  us are now working from home (some of us, for the first time), he’s the perfect guest to talk about the current status of the pandemic, what the large work-from-home shift did and if that really just sped up the inevitable: companies shifting to remote work format for their employees. The conversation with Liam in today’s episode shed a lot of light on what a potential post-COVID vaccine will look like, and especially how the structure of companies may change in terms of offices and financials. In a time when many of us are feeling the stress of working from home, Liam gives interesting and positive insight into what remote work in a non-pandemic world is, and how companies giving employees more flexibility and control of their time can lead to more productive and efficient work, while also eliminating the large cost of commercial office space.   What You Will Learn in Today’s Podcast Interview: How Time Doctor allows companies to evaluate performance both within the organization and among other similar companies The expected plans of companies and remote work after a vaccine Why Liam sees this time as a restructuring of our economy How office costs impact a company over time Why employees can be more productive at home, even with more distractions How their data shows that efficiency, instead of more time, leads to greater success The difference between working from home and remote work What the hierarchy of communication is, and why less communication can facilitate your work flow The benefits of being a “digital nomad” The power of habit   The Big Takeaway: Even before the pandemic, the times were and are changing. More businesses and employees are working from home. You shouldn’t just sit back and watch everything pass you by. There are a lot of things you can do intentionally to utilize and leverage remote work by creating a hybrid environment, holding employees and team members accountable, while you also enjoy the benefits of working from home. There are a lot of silver linings and positive things we can take away from this. You will then get an email with the Intentional Growth™ Vision Board that puts all the things you need to be focused on in one page. Check out our Intentional Growth Virtual Cohort. We’re going to be kicking off on September 15th. There are four calls over four weeks. For $1450 you’ll get the course (and will always have access to the course after your purchase), but you’ll also be able to join 6 - 10 entrepreneurs. Together you’ll have roughly 2 - 3 hours worth of work in between phone calls. Each call involves case studies, materials, conversations, Q&A, and is an absolute blast. I really enjoyed the last cohort. If you want to check it out, click on this link or go to Arkona.io, go to the Digital Course tab, scroll toward the bottom of the page and click on the “Digital Course + Cohort” section.
