Offseason Champions - Washington Redskins

Miscellaneous

Back to reality… the Win streak is over… and even though our season is not over yet, the Redskins were officially eliminated from playoff contention after a tough loss to the Packers on the road losing 15-20, and bringing their season record to 3-10. And as unlikely as our chances of making the playoffs were, at least it was something to be hopeful for, who doesn't want to rep their division (in the playoffs) after starting the year 1-9… Coming off back-to-back Wins the Redskins went Green Bay and faced (arguably) one of the best QB's in the league, the team touted that their Defense would shut down the Pack's run game and make Aaron Rodgers beat them, well they didn't exactly shut down the run game with Jones putting up 134 yards, but Rodgers beat us anyway. The game started like most games have this season, with the opposition walking the ball downfield on their opening drive and scoring, but again after going down 0-14, the defense composed themselves and stepped up in a big way, they played really well and kept this game close and within reach all afternoon. Unfortunately, the offense, again, struggled early and didn’t turn it around until late in the game, but it was all too little, too late… In Episode Twenty-Five, I cover the good, the bad and the ugly of the Redskins thirteenth regular season game of the 2019 regular season against the Green Bay Packers… I provide a quick review of the game, our defenses strong afternoon against a great team, the injuries that we accrued during the game, Dwayne Haskins development and continued struggles. I take a deep dive into the injury sustained by our 15th overall pick in the draft, the future of this franchise, our starting Quarterback Dwayne Haskins; and how the coaching staff handled the situation. I again briefly discuss the rumors that Bruce Allen may finally be on the hot seat, as its been reported that Dan Snyder is evaluating his performance…. and finally, I close the Podcast with a look at the final three weeks of the season against the pitiful NFC East and provide my prediction for the upcoming week fifteen game against the Philadelphia Eagles… As always, enjoy my unsolicited and unrealistically optimistic opinions on all things Washington Redskins in this Episode covering the 2019 Week Fourteen Loss to the Green Bay Packers… If you are enjoying the Podcast (and I hope that you are), please subscribe, leave a rating or review and tell a friend, it really helps to reach a wider audience and I would be very grateful… if you don't already, please follow me on Twitter @HTTRChamps and as always, #HTTR --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/offseasonchampions/message
