Usually, people get shutdown with God said this; the Holy Spirit said that. They don't feel they have the space to scrutinise what is said to them. Some believers have even gone as far as getting married based on one party's revelation from the Lord. This is risky.Asking questions isn't wrong. The early apostles gave us checks and balances to keep us safe. ?
