Common Sense

Miscellaneous

Once again, the continuing Saga of as the stomach turns continues, up in Washington DC, as the Democrats attempt, and I say again attempt, to impeach the president of the United States, for really no good reason. The only evidence in this case is a transcript of a telephone call. That is the only truth.Every witness they have has nothing to say, except for hearsay second or third-hand from somebody they heard something from.Another words to paraphrase AOC somebody somewhere said something to somebody who said something to somebody else who said something to this person.SB HEARD IT FROM A FRIENDAnd to be quite honest, I am like a majority of American citizens, are totally over this garbage in Congress. How about you guys do your jobs, and pass some sort of immigration legislation, or something? But I find the latest little bit of kind of funny, Nancy Pelosi challenged, didn't ask she really challenged, the president of the United States to come before the council, or committee to testify and give statement. She even offered him to write his answers to them.To briefly touch on this; that would be the most absolute worst thing in the world for the president United States to do, seeing how they are pretty good Spin Doctors and they will spin his answers into the narrative that they want.I am sure that his attorneys are saying don't do this. You see in the sixth Amendment to the Constitution you have the right to face your accuser, so I would dare say when their accuser decides to show his face, come on Erik do it, then the President should be there to face his Accuser. That's called part of due process, and there is no such thing in this inquiry going on.And that's the big important fact your folks is this is an inquiry, not a trial or a hearing. They are trying to have an impeachment inquiry, looking for a crime.I always thought you were innocent until proven guilty. I guess you are, unless Congress wants to nail you up to the wall for something. But enough of the three ring circus in Washington DC, let's go to a three ring circus a little bit closer to home.I recently received an email, saying that the government knows best! That sewer systems are the best thing that we need to have to dispose of waste.Once again the three ring circus in Volusia County is in full swing folks.SB CIRCUSAnd before you jump on that little bandwagon, going on to the three rings with the clowns are running the big top, you need to sit back and think this through with a little Common Sense before you go forward.Once again, our government officials are talking poop.Private septic systems, are the best way to dispose of waste from your home. we have scientific proof of this, Jeff Brower, who has a degree in agricultural Sciences, has proven this on a couple of occasions. And there have been many many studies done by companies like Patel, Environmental Protection Agency, and other organizations within our government to show that septic systems dispose of human waste, grey water or affluent, more efficiently then a sewer systemSB FAILURE TO COMMUNICATESee the grey water waste of the average family, is a couple of hundred gallons a day. Here in Volusia County you spend that out over 1,500 square miles.Nature does its thing, biologically breaks down the waste, and a low and behold the nitrogen and impurities are removed from the gray water and Wallah the water is purified. Now you go to a city sewer system, and they take thousands and thousands of gallons into their system per day, they treated chemically, settling it, this tank, that tank, chlorine, on infinitum, and the gray water affluent is in dumped into a settling Pond which could be anywhere from one acre to 5 Acres. This concentration of grey water and material coming out of the sewer system over-saturates this particular section of the ground and nature can't break it down fast enough before it enters into our water systemsAre you see the bacteria that's in the ground that helps to break down the biological matter in the gray water can't consume it that fast.So a great majority of this gray water will continue to filter down into the ground and take its nitrogen with it, and it will slowly but surely infiltrate into our waterways hence creating algae blooms fish kills and generally just a an overall horrible smell. But why does the government want us to go to a sewer system? You may ask.Well folks the real truth of the matter is this, and this may come to you as a surprise, it's all about the money.SB TRUTHWhen I was in government I asked myself three things about any process or project or issues that came up.Number one what is the cost of this project.Let's take a little community of Ormond by the sea. For them to put a sewer system, with lift stations and pipes connecting it to the main sewer system wherever it may be, it will cost in the hundreds of millions of dollars. The maintenance cost on this over the next 5-10 years will also be extraordinary. Another huge amount of money. And we're not even talking about the inconvenience of when one of the pipes breaks or leaks. More money thrown literally into a hole. The second question that I always ask myself self is do I have to tax anybody to get this project done.Unfortunately the sewer system projects are taxed.First thing that a city county state or whatever government will do is Bond the money for the project. You the tax payer will pay it back, no question there, and it will be on your ad velorum taxes. Then there is the cost of connecting a house to this over-inflated an overly expensive sewer system, at a cost of 10 20 30 or more thousands of dollars. In Ormond Beach they have claimed that they have some quote-unquote friends that will loan the money to the citizens at a very comfortable interest rate.I wonder who will get the interest payments? And not to mention that they are going to stop you from doing anything credit wise, yes they're going to mess with your credit, because they're going to put a government lien on your home until that bill is paid.SB MONEYAnd so for the next 10 15 20 years you will be paying on a poop pipe that goes from your house to the city county state whatever governmental agencies main sewer line.Other costs hidden in this wondrous sewer pipe system is the maintenance and electricity used to run the hundreds of lift stations, because remember what flows downhill. And for it to flow downhill you have to get it higher than the bottom of the hill.So the project would end up costing the citizens, that's you, probably a little over a billion dollars, with all the connections, with all the new piping, plus the destruction of the roads and sidewalks to put this pipe in, the inconvenience, and the general maintenance for the next years to come.Third question I usually ask myself is this real simple question, is it really broke, and do we have to fix it?If you really want to know the facts about this particular water issue, the algae blooms, fish kills at all the problems that are in our waterways, it's actually the fault of our local governments. In other words, they broke it.They've allowed over developments in areas that should not have been developed, they have allowed people to just do what they wish willy-nilly to create these housing developments near waterways because of course everybody wants Riverfront Oceanfront or lakefront property. They then have created the sewer systems where they've taken these hundreds and hundreds of. thousands of household and taking that waste water and chemically treated it, which is never good for anything to chemically treat it, and then poured the affluent into a settling pond on the ground. That's what is really broken folks. Government does not know best. Government cannot spend your money better than you can. Government wants to infiltrate into your life constantly, and they have been destroying the environment by forcing all of these hundreds of thousands of homes to be connected to a sewer system.SB THERE THEY GO AGAINIn my younger days and biology classes and science classes, there was a term that they used which was dilute and disperse. This process was to take a object that you want to dispose of and to dilute it with water. Then disperse it over a large large area so that this product biological in this case, could be absorbed into a large area. Think that through for a minute. And I'm just going to throw out at random number 10 million pounds of waste material. If you spread it out over 1500 square miles it's a very nominal and containable process. But if you take the same amount of waist and spread it out over a 5-acre area, you can just let your imagination go wild and see the problems you're going to have with just ground water.Where you see the Limestone cap on the aquifer, though it is porous, it is not a sieve. It takes time for water to percolate through the aquifer cap.If you've ever played in the water as a small child you know a little bitty hole in one of your dirt dams would allow a little bit of water to go through, but that other water has to go somewhere and then water would fill up and then overflow the top of your damn. That is very simply the process is going on here it was our aquifer if you put all of this affluent into one area. It will fill the cap up of the aquifer just pile up and up and up above it until it gets into our groundwater system and then it will flow to the rivers or lakes to our streams, and into the Intercoastal Waterway. Here in Central Florida we've seen this happen. Are excessive amount of rain over the past year or so, has caused widespread flooding in our low-lying areas. This is because the aquifer cannot accept that much water in a year. And we've had what couple of feet of rain over the past 12 months. The excess rain water fills up the ground water base, floods horse pastures fills our drainage dit
