I’m sure we’ve all heard the phrase, “us versus them.” A mentality that if you aren’t for me, then you are against me. This has been the way of humanity since Cain and Abel, hasn’t it? We immerse ourselves in competitions, real or imagined. In many ways, we do the exact things the church in Ephesus was doing when Paul sent his letter. They were building walls and creating division. We have become a society that is excellent at building walls and embracing division. I mean, without trying to get political, wasn’t a “wall” a primary talking point in the 2016 election?
