What the Congress can learn from Leonard Susskind's book "The Black Hole War: My Battle with Stephen Hawking to Make the World Safe for Quantum Mechanics". "Thought Experiments" can produce ideas that clash with deeply held principles. Instead of shunning this, it is the lifeblood of physics as it allows people to discover solutions and answers that they would not have thought about if there was no "clash".
