Cain and Abel both brought sacrifices. Abel's sacrifice was the blood of a Lamb, by which the Scripture says he obtained witness that he was righteous. The only way in this age a man can gain the witness that he himself is righteous is by the application of the blood sacrifice God provided in Jesus Christ.
