This weeks portion discussion: Beha’alotcha - Num. 8:1–12:16; Zec. 2:10–4:7; Mt. 14:14–21 Next weeks portion: Shelach - Num. 13:1–15:41; Josh. 2:1–24; Mt. 10:1–14 Stand before the lights, indeed we will all stand before the menorah. As "New Testament Christians" we often have a hard time connecting the dots. It is understandable because these things are foreign to us. God gave a shadow/type of Yeshua to come in absolute detail. And yet this mystery of the pattern in the Heavens eludes us. The Jews are no stranger to the menorah, but this connection eludes them also. James 1:17 says this, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” Are we seeing any new insights here? The most famous verse in the Bible is based on this same idea. John 3:16 For God (The Father of Lights) so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (The Light of the world whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Kevin Ivey and Thomas Beaver come together to discuss and discover God's weekly devotional known as Torah Portions. The question on the table is always a very simple one, with often times deep and profound impact: "What Is It?" This we can tell you will be fresh and new every week. We call it, Adventures in Torah! The purpose is to get the people of the church interacting with each other and with us as to answer the question, what is it to you...this week? We would encourage people to interact with one another on this channel by leaving your comments regarding each portion discussed and if you'd like, please subscribe. Thank you for sharing this with your friends and other believers; start talking about the Bible. Download your copy of Torah Portions Schedule into your smart phone today.
