Our son Seth dropped around for pasta after church. I used the opportunity to have a brief chat about The Following. Seth is one of the smartest, well read and theologically formed people I know. He takes after his mother. I asked him to give some thoughts about the challenge of trying to get back and behind the 2000 years of commentary and religious forms and imagine ourselves standing shoulder to shoulder with the first "followers".
