Welcome to Season 2! We are starting this season with an ambitious and encouraging episode featuring Akissi Hill founder of Ambitious Girl Inc. During this episode Akissi provides tips on how to communicate and motivate your children. As things are changing for us, our children have experienced Looting, schools closing, racism, and possibly PTSD. As a youth advocate, Akissi encourages parents to step into their children's world. More About Akissi Advocate, International Speaker, Life Coach, and Founder of Ambitious Girls, Inc., raised in North Hills, California, and Forrest City, Arkansas, Akissi Hill has been on a purpose-driven mission for over 10 years creating programs and initiatives for both women and girls! One is an annual conference in Arkansas, which led to the founding of Ambitious Girls, Inc., a character and confidence centered organization for girls, which was recognized in 2013 and 2017 as a National Promising Practice organization by the Character Education Partnership in Washington, D.C. In 2011, Akissi traveled to Baltimore, Maryland with her platform and co-founded a FREE annual conference for girls in Baltimore, where the former Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake presented her with a City of Baltimore Recognition in honor of her outstanding leadership and devotion. In June 2016, Akissi was nominated as a change-making woman and attended the inaugural United States of Women Summit in Washington, D.C., selected by the White House because of her commitment and service to girls and women. In 2018, she began serving as one of the selected women for the United State of Women’s first class of Ambassadors to represent cities across the United States to achieve one million actions on gender equality. Akissi believes “All girls are ambitious and every girl is an Ambitious Girl” and she expanded the scope of the Ambitious Girl platform, by launching the Ambitious Girl Academy in 2018. Most recently, she created the Ambitious Girl Assembly to bring the Ambitious Girl MAGIC experience to girls around the world! To date, thousands of girls in Arkansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Tennessee, Texas, and Africa have been empowered by initiatives offered and created by Akissi. Akissi has been a featured speaker, workshop presenter, and panelist, delivering presentations in the United States as well as in Paris, France, and Cape Town, South Africa! Whether she is speaking to girls or women, Akissi is known to bring Ambitious Girl MAGIC wherever she goes! Akissi has been featured as the cover story in the ML Magazine., the P.E.A.S. Magazine, and The Showcase Magazine as one of the "Celebrated Progressive Black Women", Fox 16 as well as Cape Town TV, The Expresso Show, and Afternoon Express on SABC news South Africa. Additionally, she is also a co-author of two books that feature her life lessons in growing through, up, on, and forward personally and professionally! Akissi's words of wisdom are "Sometimes we have to GrOw through things to make them RIGHT when they are WRONG, and EASY when they are HARD." While she is known by many as “Ambitious Akissi” before the Ambition, Akissi is simply a woman who values her family, appreciates her friends, enjoys life, and strives daily to be obedient to God who is the center of it all!
