Harshvardhani Kulkarni ki Badhaai Do is in movie theatres and it's just a wonderful little surprise. A gay man and gay woman enter a lavender marriage to avoid society aur parivaar ki speculations lekin kab tak kheench paayenge before they get caught Badhaai Do touches on a lot, thankfully without actively trying to tackle/solve it all. Yeh believable characters sirf apni life mein whaee solve karne ke icchhuk hain joh inke saamne hain, samaaj badalne nahi chaley. The straight pride flag which rightfully caused an uproar has been edited out, and thankfully the film doesn’t end with everyone suddenly having an altered personality and falling in love with each other. The music, acting, Rajkummar Rao and Bhoomi Pednekar are so good, and very strong writing, make this film a success.
