Scott Miller is the Executive Vice President of Thought Leadership at FranklinCovey, a consulting and training company that focuses on lasting changes in human behavior. He’s been with the company for 20+ years and in that time he has become a seasoned speaker, podcaster, and author. His podcast, On Leadership With Scott Miller, is the world’s most subscribed to and largely distributed leadership podcast. He’s also a frequent contributor to Inc. Particularly, Scott sheds light on what “thought leadership” is and identifies different traits that go into becoming a good leader. Specifically these traits are listening, and recognizing your need to interrupt people in conversations and how to correct that need. Managing emotions, minimizing conflict, and making decisions are also discussed. This interview is perfect if you’re looking to become a better communicator with your colleagues or looking to become a more effective manager.
