This week on See It To Be It, we talk to Joey Lindahl, who is a Senior Marketing Manager at Polaris Industries and a motorcyclist. Joey wanted to be Wonder Woman when she was little, but when she realized that wasn't a real career, she went for the next best thing... helping people and getting to tell their stories through marketing and advertising. Specifically, badass female motorcyclists. Prior to her current role, she worked at Indian Motorcycles, which was later bought by Polaris Industries, and she helped them launch the Indian Brand. Although the motorcycle industry is thought to be more male dominated, Joey said she was pleasantly surprised with how many women not only worked at Polaris, but were in leadership positions. Many women at Polaris also rode motorcycles, off road vehicles or snow mobiles. She explains how powerful it can be to ride a motorcycle and the many different groups female riders can join. She said that ever since she started riding, it has helped her have a more fearless outlook on life. Joey also mentions how she has been able to hear stories of female riders who have been riding for years. This has helped her accurately represent and showcase women in the motorcycle industry. You know, once you realize that you can do something, that's maybe a little bit out of your comfort zone, that confidence carries with you." — On The Dot Woman Content Corner Looking for more tips, motivation and direction?
