“Black Diamonds” is the story of a group of Recon Marines who climbed a mountain with their wounded. Members of the same platoon have reunited every year since their deployment to Afghanistan in 2010. In June of 2019, they climbed Mount Baker in Washington State with multiple wounded brothers-in-arms. The climb was paid for by donations and afterward, more than $70K was donated to the Force Recon Foundation. The entire climb was filmed, and all team members were interviewed. This story combines their own words with combat footage from their deployment, offering the viewer a glimpse into the lives of men who continue to serve something greater than themselves.
