Acts 16:25-34 I think we can all agree that our world could use some hope right now. We’ve been living in dark times. The list of problems gets longer every day. And so many are looking for hope in the wrong places. They end up only with more disappointment and depression. Bringing real hope can only happen when we use the right tool; a tool God has given us. God’s Means of Grace—his Word and Sacraments—are the tools we get to use as we take on the work of bringing hope to people. The Means of Grace are the tool we need to use every day on ourselves too. In this new year let’s refocus on God’s Means of Grace as the tools God has given to his Church, and to Living Hope, for carrying out our hope-bringing mission.
