Welcome to the latest edition of the Providence Journal college basketball podcast. Journal sports writer Bill Koch and Morey Hershgordon from WPRI12 and Fox Providence are along for what turns out to be a somewhat bleak latest chapter. Bryant has entered a COVID-19 pause after an unidentified player tested positive Wednesday night. The next four games for the Bulldogs have been postponed, and their run toward the top of the Northeast Conference has been stalled (1:40). Providence has dropped six of its last eight games after a nightmare Wednesday against Seton Hall. The Friars are on the wrong side of the NCAA Tournament bubble as they enter a weekend matchup St. John's (11:30). The University of Rhode Island goes into the weekend off two straight losses, including a Wednesday crusher against VCU. Kingston's version of the Rams hosts Massachusetts on Saturday (27:55). We also remember Temple legend John Chaney, who passed away last week. There won't be many more coaches like him in college basketball or elsewhere (44:50).  Thanks as always for joining us. Hope this finds you healthy and safe. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
