Because of the onset of the coronavirus, TOEFL test takers can now take the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition test at home in every country except mainland China and Iran. ETS Testing has made allowances for test-takers to take the TOEFL iBT test at home, during the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus (COVID-19). You are only able to take the test at home for a limited time, so be sure to check the official ETS website for the latest updates.Currently, TOEFL testing at home is conducted via ProctorU®. Through ProctorU, you are monitored online from test start to finish, through artificial intelligence and trained human proctors.
