Kaizer Chiefs’ descent continued this past weekend, this time in the Nedbank Cup, where they were knocked out in the first round by GladAfrica Championship side Richard’s Bay. While many PSL fans had already written off Amakhosi’s chances at silverware this season, the few that had hoped for an unlikely turnaround consider this the final nail in Chiefs’ coffin for the current campaign. A combination of poor form and bad luck has marred Kaizer Chiefs over the past two campaigns and there are now questions surrounding their future and the ability of their coach Gavin Hunt to turn the tide moving forward. In the latest episode of the SL Podcast’s “The Fan Reaction Show”, Chiefs fans react to them being knocked out of their only shot at domestic silverware, outside of very slim hopes for DStv Premiership glory. One fan was quoted as saying "the season of Kaizer Chiefs is over" while another supporter stated “this time I'm going to blame the coach Gavin Hunt, for the first time".
