Once a Nurse, Always a Nurse

Science

COVID-19 has uncovered horrendous deficiencies in many healthcare organizations in the USA. Among the MOST concerning, has been the blatant disrespect for nurses & other HC workers as they risk their lives caring for terminally ill patients, while being refused basic PPE & staffing support. Then they are threatened with loss of their jobs if they follow basic nursing policies. I knew this could NOT be the case everywhere in the country. In searching for CNO’s who put their nursing staff first, I found my guests for today. Both are CNO’s for large healthcare organizations. Dr. Bob Dent mentored Dr. Kit Bredimus at Midland Hospital in Midland, TX until leaving for Emory Hospitals in Decatur, GA. Dr. Bredimus became the new CNO. Both deeply believe in the concept of Culture of Ownership, taught by Joe Tye, previously on OAN. Every organization has a culture, that plays out through the actions of each employee & leader, but ALL cultures are NOT the same. Join us to be uplifted!
