Laser frenotomy is not without risk, and we present a published case demonstrating possible complications of the procedure. Injecting materials is a risky alternative to FDA approved breast implant placement for augmentation. We review a case that had disastrous complications during lactation. Lastly, we discuss the Choosing Wisely Campaign that helps patients choose medical interventions and procedures that are supported by evidence. We discuss examples of lactation-related practices that may introduce harm and need more evidence. Recorded in March 2020.
