Dr. Charles Tator is a Canadian neurosurgeon at Toronto WesternHospital and a professor of neurosurgery at the Universityof Toronto whose research has transformed our understanding ofspinal cord injury and concussions. He is amongst the leaders on sports concussions in the world.He founded Think-First Canada, an injury-prevention foundation which is now part ofParachute Canada, where he is also a board member. He is a recipient of the ofof the Order of Canada and has been inducted into the CanadianMedical Hall of Fame, the Terry Fox Hall of Fame, and Canada’sSports Hall of Fame. In 2012, he received USA Hockey’s Excellencein Safety Award.In this episode Charles joins Jonah Sigel and talks about all things concussions but especially on the things we can do right now while no sports are being played and of course his rocky relationship with Don Cherry.
