The Church has lost its uniqueness and saltiness in the world we live in due to being conformed more toward the world than transformed by the renewing of our hearts and minds into the image of God's glory. We've been conformed by the world and it's focus on satisfying the flesh with its comforts and conveniences. We've allowed the word of God to become a set of principles that we live by in order to find personal success rather than being sanctified by His truth and transformed into the image of His glory. The lust of the flesh and the lusts of the eyes and the boastful pride of life have corrupted our ability to be the salt and light in a darkened world. We've have been drawn away from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. We have made the Gospel all about us! We are either being conformed or transformed. Our minds are either set on the flesh or the spirit. There is no middle of the road. We are either on center with the Gospel or are wandering off-center into the world. Conformity leads to death for the mindset on the flesh is death. Transformation leads to life for the mindset on the spirit is life and peace. So, are you being conformed or transformed?
