He was considered one of the greats in the world of science fiction, sadly H. Beam Piper passed away way to young back in 1964 at his own hand. However, he left behind a prolific legacy of amazing writing and some of it celebrated his and mine adopted hometown of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. I had the chance to write an article about his life for the "Williamsport Sun Gazette." I wanted to share the article here and an audio version of his short story that the good people of Librivox posted on their site here.
