We have seen disastrous displays of pandemic mismanagement this year. There are many examples of managing crisis in an exemplary way with incredible teamwork & camaraderie by the healthcare (s)heroes of the coronavirus epidemic. GOOD leadership does NOT start when the crisis hits us in the face. It starts years ahead by building a 2-way culture of good relationships, honesty & trust between admin. & staff. Culture is shaped by the collective attitudes & behaviors of the people who work there. It does NOT change until people change. The ultimate leadership challenge is helping people make positive changes based on their OWN personal values. Leaders must design their Invisible Architecture™ of core values, corporate culture, & workplace attitude as they do the physical design of bricks & mortar.
