As part of our continuing series of 19-minute teleconferences on the impacts of COVID-19, our Employment and Labor team is hosting weekly teleconferences. In this first session, we discussed how new legislation makes important changes to group health and retirement plans. Some changes are mandatory, including changes designed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Other changes are optional and can provide a means by which to make financial and other relief available to employees impacted by COVID-19.
