On this episode Paul is joined by Keshav Gupta to discuss something that crops up very regularly in conversations: creating a more balanced world. This is a wide-ranging topic that covers all aspects of life as well as covering why the world could do with more balance and asking what was the balance that we’re trying to achieve again. We should recognise that the mind’s operation should happen within the domain of love. Love can also happen without mind, but love in action ties into our planet, society, loved ones, so we need to have our minds controlled, figured out and disciplined, but at the same time dissolved when it’s not needed. Self-love is the starting point. In many religions it is said that God is in silence. Words are only as good as the listener and the speaker’s vocabulary, and they’re only good at describing tangible things. The experience of life is definitely not in words. There are some things that can only be shared through experience, these things connect us and don’t need words. Everyone has a place to lead movements, thoughts, alliances and actions around the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals and can get involved by visiting the UN’s website. They provide a framework to recognise the fact that others are in trouble all over the world and how we can begin to start helping.
