At the turn of the century renowned rock frontman Rob Zombie looked to venture into a genre he loved as the writer/director of an ambitious, artistically driven first film featuring a cast of classic genre performers. Due to the grotesque nature of the film, Universal Pictures blocked its release but after Zombie purchased the film from them he found a new home with the feature at Lions Gate Entertainment to release the film theatrically. On April 11th, 2003 the nearly 3 year journey reached its end and Rob Zombie’s HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES was released introducing audiences to an important new voice in a system on the verge of a Renaissance
