"More and more we're seeing different cancers, not just melanoma, being treated with immunotherapy. The side effects are very prevalent for these treatments and the skin side effects are the most common." Dr. Ivan Litvonov joins Dr Kirk Barber to discusses his article studying this issue and proposes a grading system to guide management of cutaneous manifestations based on the percent body surface area involved.  Kirk notes that this is a very interesting discussion and "the kind of article that shows us the influence that dermatologists can have when managing oncological patients." Dr Ivan Litvonov is an Assistant Professor and Director of Research at the McGill University Medical School in Montreal. Dr Litvonov's article is available to read outside the JCMS paywall for three weeks after this episode is published: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1203475420943260 JCMS Author Interviews is produced by David McGuffin of Explore Podcast Productions in Ottawa.
