David Evans is a member of Second Church of Christ, Scientist, Worcester. He has served the church in a number of capacities and, until mid-January 2013, is conducting the Sunday services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings. He works for the Christian Science Publishing Society in Boston, overseeing the production of a variety of print, online, and audio Bible lesson publications.
