My better half and I, spent the better part of a week camping on an inhabited island north of Bergen called Skarvøy. It is a very interesting place, both in location and history. Now covered in vegetation, this island is rich in sounds from several species of birds, rodents and the seasonal sheep and goats. This night, I dropped my Sony PCM M10 with my trusty LOM Uzi´s in a tree, facing the fjord and nearby islands. There was quite a lot of wind, and the recording is clipping on one or two occasions. But I kept it in, as I feel it has its place in the soundscape. As seen on the picture, the fjord is right in front of the mics. And there is a strong current audible during the whole recording. You can also hear a distant machine once or twice from ship traffic Other than some most needed low frequency cutting, there is no additional processing made to the recording.
