Destination Salem, sponsored by McLaran Enterprises. Virginia will reflect on the life and legacy of Mike McLaran with her guest Kyle Sexton who worked for McLaran at the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce for a decade. Virginia was a close friend of McLaran, having known him since 1972 when, as a 12 year old California student, he spent a month traveling with her in Europe. Their reunion in Salem 35 years later was a surprise and pleasure for both. McLaran was a close friend and mentor to Sexton, formerly the Director of Business Development for the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce and now a successful business consultant.
