Hilde Mobekk is a PhD fellow in Behavior Analysis at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University. She received her M.S. in Behavioral Science from the same institution in 2013. Her master thesis was about escalation in information technology projects in organizations. Previously she worked as Director of Human Resources and Administration. She received her B.A. from BI Norwegian School of Management specializing in Human Resource Management. She has always been interested in human relations and interactions, and the question: Why do we do as we do? In her research, she focuses mainly on healthier choice behavior, integrating both behavior analysis and behavioral economics. She has a special interest in how we make decisions, and how to optimize choices for better outcomes both on individual and societal level. Carsta Simon is an associate professor at the University of Agder in southern Norway. She holds a PhD in behavior analysis from Oslo Metropolitan University and has obtained a master’s in psychology after having studied at the University of Stockholm (Sweden), UC California and the University of Technology, Braunschweig, Germany. In her empirical and conceptual work, she tries to understand how behavior is selected by its effects on the organism’s environment, how an organism's behavior shapes the environment, and the interplay between the two. She is interested in behavioral adaptations on multiple levels resulting from natural selection, as well as from operant conditioning. She works on behavioral group selection, the ontogenetic equivalent to phylogenetic group-selection theory. She conducts basic experimental work on units of analysis in verbal behavior and publishes behavior analytic interpretations of the Nordic Model. From a philosophy of science perspective, she works on the interdisciplinary integration of behavior analysis, behavioral ecology, and evolutionary theory.
