Fans, a new era of Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball officially began last week with the hiring of Stan Heath as the new head coach of the team. Now, the Eastern Insider Podcast is giving you a chance to hear from Heath, as well as Vice President/Director of Athletics Scott Wetherbee in a set of brand new interviews. This week’s show begins with hosts Greg Steiner and Alex Jewell, who provide short commentary on the interviews that the show features, as well as fill you in on the latest news and storylines coming out of the athletic department. From there, the basketball play-by-play voice of the Eagles, Tom Helmer, sits down with Wetherbee to discuss the hiring process, how he arrived at the decision to tab Heath as the 30th head coach of the program, and what he expects in the near future.
