Elizabeth Gikebe is an entrepreneur based in Kenya. She is the founder of Mhogo Foods. Mhogo Foods is a company that adds value to the cassava tubers by processing them into affordable, nutritious gluten-free flour, cassava crisps, cassava starch and cassava-based animal feeds.In Kenya, most of the smallholder farmers are poor, despite having lands where they can plant and harvest their produces. One of the reasons for this is because they don’t have a constant market. One of the importance of Mhogo Food existence is to help those smallholder farmers to be empowered and be able to provide for their families. In this interview, Elizabeth Gikebe talks about how her company produces gluten free 100% natural cassava flour, how payments made by her company Mhogo Foods are helping improve the lives of cassava farmers in Kenya. She also talks about how she got started and some of the challenges she faces. Her Determination and Persistence are unstoppable.
