Margaux Wong is a designer of sustainable fashion based in Bujumbura, Burundi. We interviewed her earlier this year, before the current unrest ahead of the presidential elections hit. Before we uploaded this episode, we asked Margaux if she thought we should wait to release it until the violent election has passed. She told us, "This episode is a refreshing snippet of Burundi life, which definitely contrasts with what is regularly portrayed of Burundi by the media. It gives me, as a woman with a Burundian family and life, something to hold on to. I believe it would bring a new light and a new hope to people who know Burundi and even to those who will hear of Burundi for the first time, through this episode."
