Truth in Black and White

Religion & Spirituality

On this episode, Pastor Dave Welch shares why he and the US Pastor Council started this show. You’ll learn about why pastors should be engaged in public policy issues, and you’ll learn how you can get more involved with bringing God’s truth into the public square.  Pastor Dave Welch is the founder and Executive Director of the Texas Pastor Council and Houston Area Pastor Council, inter-denominational and inter-racial ministries of and for pastors based in Houston, Texas. The Houston Area Pastor Council was birthed in 2003 and is now a national model of diversity and effectiveness. Affiliated councils have also been launched in other cities in Texas leading to formation of the Texas Pastor Council as well as launching the US Pastor Council, having assisted pastors in cities from Sacramento, CA to Virginia Beach, VA in starting Pastor Councils. Pastor Dave was one of the pastors whose sermons were subpoenaed by the Houston Mayor in the infamous “Houston Five” incident as the pastors led the defeat of the radical LGBT special rights ordinance. He is an ordained pastor. He and Valerie, his wife of 36 years, have five adult children (all married) and seven grandchildren … so far! Truth in Black and White with Pastor Dave Welch is the show for pastors and church leaders who believe that the Bible calls us to be godly stewards of culture and government as part of our ministry. This show is presented by the US Pastor Council. | www.USPastorCouncil.org
