Reconstruction remains one of the most understudied and misunderstood periods of American history, so it stands to reason that the idea of reparations is, too. We hope that, no matter what end of the political spectrum you come from, you join us as we learn the real history behind them. We acknowledge that we're two white women discussing this incredibly difficult topic. We approach it from a place of love in wanting to be better and wanting to understand where we've come from, how we've been a part of it -- what our role has been in the past -- and how we can help going forward. We'll never understand what it's like to be BIPOC in this country, but we both feel it's one of the most important discussions needed today.
