Self-love, self-respect, self-worth... There is a reason they all start with "Self". You cannot find them in anyone else." You cannot outsource anything that starts with the self. It's when we do that we become even more distant from who we are. And when we start with the self we can then help others get there too. We also look for love, respect and worth in others' when we must find it in ourselves first.
