He’s been practicing in the Simcoe-Muskoka area since 2003 and currently sees children collaboratively with family doctors and therapists throughout the region. Dr. Meeder’s practice is focused exclusively on children and teens with mental health and behaviour problems. He completed his medical training at McMaster University and Western University. He resides in Orillia with his wife and four kids and attends Connexus Church. He is also the host of the Smart Family Podcast which offers practical advice for all family relationships so as to help you “Love Being Home!”. Moving Forward in Ministry We as a church can help people with technology addictions Be supportive not shaming and blaming Come alongside to help find out what is prompting them to fill the need or void in their life Mental Healthy and Anxiety  Churches are in a unique position for people to share and care and show empathy Take moments and be quiet and breathe "Anxiety is often routed in the future we can't predict or the past that we can't change" Collaboratively Problem Solving  Look at the problem together and how can we address this issue? We should be open to modifying things Its ok to listen to your kids and what they have to say If your child comes up with the solution with you, it will stick better and they will be more diligent to stick to it When You Are Volunteering  So thankful for those leaders working with kids and youth To have youth leaders still connecting in anyway means so much to kids Find something in common to share or encourage youth and kids Thank you for stepping into those roles Consider what you have to offer to help those around you Be creative to share your skills  Remember... Come back to the present moment and what you can control, be still and think about the Amazing God that created the universe around you Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God!..."
