Melinda Byrd’s family tree is filled with talented artists who were on the forefront of making rya rugs, a traditional Scandinavian wool rug. In 2011, Melinda made a video about rya rugs that sparked a lot of interest in the art, which led to Melinda leaving her 30-year career to bring the age-old art of rya rug making back.
