Business

Teo Janiga, a freshman at the Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical Center, and the winner of Rhode Island Lt. Governor’s Entrepreneurship Challenge talks about his business that coaches grandparents on how to virtually connect with loved ones via FaceTime, Skype, Zoom and other platforms to reduce social isolation and loneliness. Michael Ostrowski, President/CEO at Arrha Credit Union, discusses the meaning of “local” when it comes to credit unions and doing your banking. Carole Langiu provides insights on the many ways credit unions in Delaware bring their banking services and good will to the state's residents, from the inner city of Wilmington, to the communities along its eastern shore. Finally, we’ll learn how credit unions across the nation work cooperatively to support the National Credit Union Foundation; its executive director, Gigi Hyland, will share the foundation’s philosophy and its efforts to support credit unions and their members in times of need.
