Today I had the pleasure of talking to a returning guest, he's a fellow podcaster, city council member for the city of Brawley and a US Marine Veteran. I met Ramon back in December of 2019 to talk about a Podcast he and his fellow veterans Ernie and Raymond had started. They wanted to talk about issues veterans were dealing with, during one of their episodes they had the opportunity to go down to Tijuana and meet with some deported veterans. While down there they befriended a veteran named Erazmo Apocada, a couple of days after he was notified he was able to apply for his citizenship he was found dead in his backyard. This motivated Ramon to do something about this issue and while walking the annual memorial day walk he decided he would walk the entire length of the Mexico/US border to bring awareness to deported veterans.
