God is our Refuge and Strength
Psalms 46:1-2 1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst.
The Bible does not promise that the enemies will never come against us. But the Bible does promise that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The Bible does not promise that we will never have troubles in our lives. But the Bible does promise that God is a very present help in trouble. Another translation says “an abundantly available help”. The Bible does not promise that no weapon of the enemy will be formed against us. But the Bible does promise that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (see Isaiah 54:17). Hallelujah! Enemies will rise against us only to fall flat on the ground because God is our refuge and strength , a very present help in trouble.
