John is known for many things in the world of boxing. 50+ years as an amateur boxing coach is his pride and joy. He's also known for starting a boxing equipment company, initially as a solve to his own product problems, that grew to become the largest equipment provider in amateur boxing without a doubt. We talked about the genesis story of Ringside Boxing, pivotal moments in his entrepreneurial career, some of the various product inventions he created and distributed. We talked about the importance of boxing in a young person's development, improving the safety of the sport, and the amateur game.
