Candace Walsh is a fiction candidate in Warren Wilson College's MFA program. Her short story, "The Sandbox Story," is forthcoming from Akashic Books' Santa Fe Noir. She is the author of Licking the Spoon: A Memoir of Food, Family, and Identity. She co-edited Dear John: I Love Jane: Women Write about Leaving Men for Women and its sequel.
