Miscellaneous

Between 2010 and 2017, a series of men disappeared in Toronto, Ontario, Canada without a trace. The local gay and bisexual community was being targeted by a predator. The following year, authorities arrested Toronto resident Bruce McArthur in connection with the disappearances. McArthur was a well liked, friendly landscaper and occasional mall Santa. He is also now convicted in the killings of 8 men, something that has prompted police to reopen 25 cold murders cases dating back to the 70s. We covered this case in a two-part episode, which is episode 3 if you’d like to go back and hear the full details. His modus operandi? He would arrange to hook up with men, sometimes using dating apps, sometimes those already known to him. They were not seen again. To date, there have been two survivors of McArthur. Today we are lucky enough to speak with one of them. Sean Cribbin is joining us to talk about his experiences and opinions on the case. Also joining us is his good friend and documentary filmmaker, Bill Greer. Together, they are making a documentary movie called “Was I Next? The Sean Cribbin Story”.
