Miscellaneous

Sylvia Reentovich is a wellness consultant with the Province of New Brunswick working in the wellness branch of the department of social development, and works on promoting mental fitness across all areas. The work that is done in NB around mental fitness focuses on the Self Determination Theory, which claims that we have 3 basic psychological needs (Competence/Autonomy/Relatedness) and is important across all aspects of our lives. There’s a connection between the choices that we make and the environment around us, and mental fitness in our environments makes healthy choices easier for all of us. Sylvia is now working on bringing all kinds of stakeholders around the province together around a Community of Practice for mental health promotion and mental fitness.
